That movie is like real life Spinal Tap. They are petty, insecure, stupidly rich, rockstars.
One of my favourite scenes is when James decides to screw off to Russia and kill a hibernating bear on his son's birthday. Nice one buddy.
Or when those morons get continually manipulated by the therapist to the point that you just can't help but laugh at them.
Or when James says that only rock can be made between the times of 1 to 4 pm and no one else in the band can work on it.
Or when Lars is all sulking in the bar when Newsted stands him up after his new band's show.
Or when they write those amazing lyrics by committee and saying, yeah that sounds cool. So the lyrics that make it are the ones that 'sound cool' instead of the ones that mean anything? And by the way, "My lifestyle determines my death style" neither means anything or sounds cool.
The best part is when Lars starts crying when he sells his preposterously over-priced and overrated giant paintings of pain and suffering.
Seriously, that movie had me glued. It was goddam hilarious!
