Cammalleri is not part of the long term solution. A valuable guy in the room from all accounts, might be good to bridge gap until rookies take over, but if he can get 3 or more years, no way he takes the likely 1 or 2 year deal the Flames are in the position to offer.
If Hudler is traded, it does make it easier to keep Cammalleri around, but trading Hudler just to re-up Cammalleri for longer than he will benefit the team is not a good strategy
