I would say that the line-up that created the first studio album or wide release album would be the original line-up for any band.

Bands are pretty dynamic things, especially in their early days. Always changing. That's just how I would see 'original'.

I hated St. Anger when it came out, I've lessened my vitriol for it, even learned to like some of it, but yeah I think it's their weakest album, even worse than ReLoad. The band in general seems to have lost a lot of their edge, usually what happens after a band 'sobers up'.

That said I'll still check out and probably buy the new album. I may feel like a sucker for it later, but they were my favporite band for a long time and even though they aren't anymore, I still got a spot in my heart, my CD case, and my wallet for them.
