I don't think I am. Perhaps not straight up but the Islanders are not adding too much to get Kane who has struggled this year but still a former 30'goal guy under 25.
Bobby Ryan was traded for 2 of Ottawas better prospects and a first that was expected to be 16-20something. A 5th overall in a draft that is considered to have 5 players in tier 1.
The Flames have nothing to offer that they would move to get this pick. Backlund at 25 who has never scored 20 goals or 50pts is going to land a prospect like Dal Colle or Draisaitl? Hudler, Wideman, Glencross? No chance.
In a cap system draft picks are extremely valuable and top 5 picks more so as those players usually are in the NHL making an impact within 1-3 years after being drafted
