This looks like a situation a team in a re-tool mentality could take advantage of - like the Canucks moving out Kesler or Edler as part of a deal, or the Jets moving Kane.
The best piece that Calgary could move, outside of the ridiculous idea of moving Gio, would be Hudler, but he is not in the same level as those guys. Maybe this is a deal Carolina could jump on, moving Ward ++
The flames do not have enough high level talent to make a move like this
