If this guy wasn't on some kind of substance at the time, I don't know how he could go around to 5 people and stab them repeatedly, you'd have to be in a fit of rage or suffering from some kind of mental illness. But to me it doesn't sound like someone had just ticked him off at the party, it sounds like he had thought about it before going in. I just don't know how somebody does that, then again another several times..

As shocking and sad as it is, I think it's totally conceivable. Unfortunately, mass murders happen fairly frequently. My guess is that there was some type of mental health issue here. If a guy as bat #### crazy as Vincent Li can sell his computer to buy a knife which was suitable for cutting off the head of a random stranger; then this act seems less strange.
