The U of C doesn't organize anything, and aren't involved other than allowing the use of a parking lot (formerly the main quad).
The SU puts on the event, so it
is already student organized as it stands. Linking this tragedy to BSD is foolish, it could have happened at any weekend house party. I've seen more drunken violence at a single Flames game than I have in 4 years of attending BSD, perhaps they should ban booze at the Dome as it leads to crazy behaviour in the stands.
