Most people who aren't minorities don't know that it's going on, but it goes on all the time. Even my white GF didn't know about it until she started dating me.
The reality is that there is a large population of Calgarians who don't care about what goes on in these places anyway, and then there's a popluation of Calgarians that don't care as long as it stays a minorty problem.
