I believe this is a possibility, in a week draft year, because Florida likely has new owners (again) and 3-4years of Luongo to do something. Therefor I believe Florida would be willing to move their #1 pick for young assets ready to step into the line up next season.
If we are exploring the idea of moving up 2-3 spots for Floridas pick, then I would prefer the Flames use other picks to do this and not young players. AGAIN, I don't think Florida is interested in more picks or other picks, I think they want young, NHL-ready players to compete sooner rather than later.

Who do you pair with Sven that gets us that pick? The only ones they'd feasibly be interested in are Brodie, Gio, Gaudreau and Mony if they want NHL ready guys. It's hard to see Burke parting with any of them to move up 2 or 3 spots.
It's possible they fall in love with Dal Colle considering the glut of centres they have(and depending where they see Huberdeau playing) which would be ideal for us in a pick swapping scenario.
