Still equates to a third round pick which is the value of a pick one year earlier (one round later). Helps to balance out the low pick from the Avs by dropping down from the end of the second to the top of the third.
Depending upon what happens with the Avalanche and Penguins in the playoffs this deal might have to change to make it even.
