So, we're back and it's January 1969. A very eventful year to end a very eventful decade. There are 14 episodes left (including this one), and I assume the finale will probably take us to New Year's Eve.
This "half season" will be 7 episodes long, and since Mad Men usually jumps about a month per episode, I assume this year's final episode will feature the moon landing in July.
The Manson family murders happened in August 1969, and there are certainly similarities between Megan and the victims. I doubt they'll rewrite history to make her one of the victims, but I could see the murders being a focal point that either brings Don and Megan together, or drives them apart, depending on how each of them react.
This was a typical season premiere to set the scene and let us know where everyone is at. There don't seem to be a lot of happy people around there right now.
I can't remember the last time I saw Neve Campbell in anything, but she was looking good, although, it took me a while to recognize her. I assume we'll see her again at some point.
