I got to watch Ehlers vs Gatineau - and I could see him sneaking into the top 5. Very very fast, great skills, top shot - but the only thing I wonder is how much of his stats come from playing with Drouin.
To everyone using our weak defensive prospect pool to justify trading the whole farm for Ekblad - I just want you to know there are other defencemen in the draft. 2 that are not very far off Ekblad in Fleury and McKeown. I'm sure there will be some sleeper D picks in the 2nd, 3rd and later. Its about trusting our scouts and letting them do their job - rather than doing the NHL14 thing and assuming Ekblad has to be the 2nd coming of Pronger or Doughty simply because he is #2 on ISS and got granted exceptional status to play in the OHL.
Plus Bennett and Reinhart are definitely worth a shout if we do trade up and have the chance to take the BPA as disucssed on the previous page.
