But the number of times I've gotten the stink eye at an intersection with just one dude crossing who has had to take one extra step around my front end if I've decided to stop hard on a yellow rather than run the light and the guy behind me is right up on me and I can't back up, or some uncontrolled intersections DT or in the belt line where you actually have to edge forward to see around the building or lamp post or something to see the traffic and figure out when you can go is ridiculous.
It in no way caused them problems, they just wanted to complain for the sake of complaining. I've got no problem if I get looks if it were to happen in a crowed intersection and hoards of peeps are now having to walk in the middle of the road, but don't whine about it if you simply have to take one step around. I guess what I'm saying is people who get Argo out of principal rather than actual inconvenience grid my gears

Pedestrians in Calgary, as a general rule, suck. They're collectively the worst of every pedestrian trait.
They tend to be very slow, unpredictable and unsure of themselves, and at the same time they're generally very smug and easily aggravated. It's like no matter what happens, drivers are idiots in their minds, and they tend to carry themselves like vehicles don't weigh thousands of pounds with the ability to kill them instantly.
