That being said, half way through the season I wasn't on the Gaudreau bandwagon. But he kept it up the whole year and now I feel like he's the real deal -- Calgary could have something really special on their hands and a draft steal. It's just at this point, size is still an issue. It will be an issue until he can disprove it, there's just no getting around it.

Three lightest NHL players per league rosters:
1. Johnny Gaudreau, Cal, 150 lbs
2. Paul Byron, Cal, 153 lbs
3. Calle Jarnkrok, Nsh, 156 lbs

2 of them are already having success at the NHL level. I'd argue that Gaudreau has more skill than both of them combined. And I'm a big fan of Jankrok.

Johnny'll do just fine. He'll get a full summer with Hesketh and slap on another 10-15 pounds and everything will be all sunshine and rainbows.
