I'm ok if he stays. I'm ok if he goes. I like Cammy. I love the flames.
The only thing that worries me is health and size.
Everytime Cammy played, I was scared he was hurt (true mostly because it would hurt his trade value, justifiably).
I know Burke wants size, and a lot of our up and coming players lack that(as well as many already graduated. Byron, baertschi, Gaudreau, hudler, Russell, in addition to Cammy).
I have to think that at least a little bit of skill is moving on in favour of size, especially if Cammy is brought back. Specifically Hudler and Baertchi.
I honestly believe this team can compete for playoffs next year, with a few breaks and improvements. That's not the goal though. The goal is the cup. If Burke believes in Cammy as leadership, then I'm ok with it. But as I said, I expect some "close to NHL ready" small guys, or current small guys to go. And I believe that's the right move.
