If Linden sucks as a President and loses the fanbase, regardless of his revered status, people will call for his head. Maybe in a nicer way since he's a more likable guy but that's the nature of every hockey management or coaching position in the NHL ever. Memories are short. He shouldn't be exempt from criticism of his job as President just because he was a very likable player.

I'm not going to go through the list of reasons why the Canucks fanbase is fickle. I live here and breathe it every day.
I don't need to point out my city has been burned down twice by them, nor that their franchise goalie was chastised for years because of shortcomings only to be loved when he was shown the door, nor that their head coach who was doing a fine job with their aging team had been canned for the likes of a guy that likes to throw down in the opposing team's hallway, loved him then, but now that they are out of the playoffs, the fans want Torts' head too, etc etc.
