Interesting. Even tough his show is obviously him playing a character, I think even in his non-character material that I've seen he comes off a little too self centered for the role of the biggest late night show.
Self-centered might be the wrong term. But he's a very funny comedian, who's very high energy and at his best when the focus is on him. Not sure if his style would translate to the talk show's biggest stage, interviewing the biggest guests in show business.
Of course it's hard to tell as his last ten years of work to look at is him playing a character and purposely being over the top and overbearing on the guests. So who knows, maybe he'd take the job and be amazing.
