They same will be said for every GM...Sutter made plenty of them, and I think Burke already made his first big one with not being able to ship out Cammalleri.

The whole Cervenka think was a low-risk experiment that was blown way out of proportion. It didn't end well...but hey, low-risk, who cares. I'm glad they tried something out of the box.

The O'Reilly thing was really dumb, and yeah, could've been a valid reason to can a GM. That and the team wanting to sign Brad Richards (probably under the win-now mantra) was the low points of his tenure for me.

But in the end, I think a lot of the blunders ar out-weighted by what he and his team have done in terms of loading up on prospects. At least on paper, that's the best set of prospects this team has had since the 80s. He needs to get credit for that.
