Some seem to think this is the Hart trophy. The criteria are as follows and while points are a factor it is no surprise the other two were picked as well.

You thought my post was belittling Dowd? Wow, okay then.
As for the criteria of the award, I fail to see how the other two nominees do anything to trump what Gaudreau has done on the ice. He had one of the most dominating offensive seasons in college in the last two decades. It's not belittling to say he should win the award in a landslide, he's just had a fantastic year. He probably should garner every first place vote.
Btw, he won the player in the month today, again. Fourth time this season.
