The CBC today has released its distribution for the three way split telecast of the 1700h Mountain games on April 5.

Ottawa at New York Rangers is for the Ottawa area only.

Winnipeg at Toronto is for all of western Canada and the province of Ontario (except the Ottawa area).

Detroit at Montreal is for Quebec to Newfoundland.

There are two Saturdays left in the regular season. The decisions made for Saturday's games shows the complete ignorance by CBC Sports to its viewers as it has been for the past twenty years and beyond. The Red Wings-Habs game is a classic Original Six match up with playoff positioning at stake for both teams. The Jets will not make it in the playoffs and the Leafs are fading. The provinces of Manitoba and Ontario should be the only ones not seeing the Detroit-Montreal game. The staff at CBC Sports is disrespecting its western viewers and shows how truly inept they are. Let the verbal assaults (complaints) commence by email and phone.

Good riddance to the CBC losing all control of HNIC. I cannot wait for next season with Rogers Sportsnet at the helm. It is unfortunate they could not have dissolved the current contracts and have Rogers taking over immediately.
