You're right. There are signs wherever they have photo radar. There are times where a cop might nab you if he happens to be pacing or behind you, but for the most part the signs are there. It's just so easy to speed and not even think about it or see the sign and then boom, you get it. I got nabbed twice this year and the locations are clearly marked, Just busy with other things on my mind and forgot about the spots. I find it easier to simply try to follow the speed limit for the most part and then I don't have to worry about the tickets at all.

You can also buy a radar detector with GPS that has the locations flagged. My colleague has one and it would definitely help in areas of the city you aren't familiar with.
