Easy installation, even for a non-handyman like myself. It has a latch on it so it can be 'locked' when the tailgate is up.

i picked up one of these years ago (1997) for my truck and it's still looks pretty good - really happy with the quality. i'm sorta choked though... i checked the current price and i can get a new one for under $300 now.... mine was $600 when i got it back in '97
