You shoul dbe good with cabbing it, it shouldn't cost too much to go from there to MGM area or even Ceasers and walk from there. A car can be a pain if you plan on having anything to drink. I wouldn't consider walking from the Orleans to the Strip, and you will not likely want to spend very much time at the Orleans, but they do have excellent ribs in their buffet.
