The British are an odd lot. The second yellow/red for Vidic when Sturridge dove and then this one today, both times the commentators have sided with Sturridge. They admit there was little to no contact and that he played the ref but then turn right around and say that the defender deserved it for even trying a challenge like that.
Its as though in their mind the intent was all that matters. Its weird. The fact of the matter is though that Liverpool dont need every call to go their way and they dont need to manufacture false calls, they're good enough to win the game without that crap and I'm hoping Rodgers sorts it out.
Hell, if Rodgers can turn Luis Suarez's disciplinary record around when he retires from football he can go to work for the UK's Corrections Department reforming hardened criminals. Sturridge should be a piece of cake.
Almost looked effortless. I'd make a crack at Spurs playing poorly but as the announcers stated, over two matches this season: Liverpool 9 - Tottenham 0.
Wouldnt surprise me if this one gets their second manager of the season fired too.

It'd be silly of Spurs to dump Sherwood so late in the season. They'll bring in LVG post W.C.
Sherwood and Moyes are dead men walking, though.
