Another thing about FOX that affects the ratings is that it is an entertaining station. I would bet that a lot of people watch it for that reason alone. The only all news station that might come close is CNN, but they are not as exciting.

Does CBC, BBC, or CNN have people yelling at guests and telling them to shut-up?
You think people watch FOXnews because they talk over each other?

Chris Matthews of MSNBC does that all the time and remarked a month ago he's decided to make an effort to stop. So does Joe Scarborough of MSNBC. But you see the point there - Matthews isn't exactly a Bush supporter and Scarborough would rather the USA fall into a pit than see Kerry elected President. MSNBC airs them both. CNN has the shouting thing going on as well on some of their counterpoint shows.

What isn't common in the above is three right wingers shouting down one left winger which might be the favourite FOX formula.

At least FOX provides the opportunity to be shouted at. It would be interesting to know the last time Ted Byfield, Paul Jackson or QR77's Dave Rutherford appeared on a CBC panel program to represent the right wing crazies of Alberta.

Like it or not, call him a wingnut and try to denegrate him, Micheal Moore is a respected documentary film and film maker.

That's simply your opinion. A cloud of people in the USA would think you're off your rocker with a statement like that. They'd roll in the aisles laughing.

There are people, maybe tons of them, who think Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh are the cats meow as well.

And others do not. Same as with Moore.

You have to concede each has his/her constituency. And enemies. Its all about perspective.

As to Coulter alone, it might be instructive to note that even Bill O'Reilly thinks she's demented as per his comments when she was on his program a couple of months ago.

As I said in my earlier post, what's wrong with getting normal people to speak at universities?!!!

Teddy Kennedy crawls out of Boston Harbor with a quart of Scotch in one pocket and a pair of pantyhose in the other, and Democrats hail him as their party's spiritual leader.

Well, Coulter hit that nail on the head.
