For all the back patting about the rebuild going on the flames have two real rookies in the lineup plus Agostino on his tryout who I assume is headed down soon. Couple points to that. One is the amount of injuries to the vets plus Stajan right after the Olympics. At one point we were icing the youngest team in the league and only 30 mil in salary and they were still winning, that's where a lot of optimism is coming from.
Second they are riding the vet lineup because with the AHL team doing very well and gearing up for the playoffs any good young players we can spare to send there have gone. The NHL season is just about over but we can give these players some real confidence and excitement playing in the playoffs on the farm.
