That is my recollection as well. Montreal offered him like $1.5 million more than we did... of course a lot of that was to make up for the additional Quebec taxes he would have to pay, so the actual gap in the take-home pay was substantially less than $1.5 million. I'm one of Cammalleri's biggest fans, but he left for more money last time. Which is fine.... most people would do the same.
He really made out well though to get the big contract with Quebec tax considerations and then get traded back to Alberta anyway. Someone on here calculated before, and his take-home pay increased by several hundreds of thousands of dollars just by being traded.
