I have to go with David Lynch's Eraserhead. It's the only move that really creeps me out. I almost wish he would remake it.

More recently, I thought Jarhead deserved more acclaim. I think a lot of people missed the point in that movie. The whole dream sequence with Nirvana's "Something in the Way" playing in the background, ending with the vomiting of sand.... I was pretty impressed.
