^^ The equipment guys can certainly do up an emergency one (i.e. if someone gets called up or traded), but they're not going to waste a couple of hours sewing nameplates when it can be easily outsourced.
The million dollar question is why they were ordered. Makes sense if they wanted a crested jersey to try and sign a free agent, but someone who has already been drafted? And in Agostino and Arnold's case, have/will be graduating this year?
One thing I didn't mention -- they specifically requested a nameplate for a game jersey (i.e. not a replica, or one of those press conference iron on jobs). Not sure if the material is different but it suggests this is more than just a marketing thing...
