My comment was towards the folks wanting to basically overlook the fact that this kid did "make a mistake" because they feel Boughner handled it less than perfectly. Doesn't matter. He shouldn't have walked out on his team, and it should be handled appropriately to teach the appropriately lesson for the kid so he can grow from it and become a better hockey player, team mate and person from it. It shouldn't be handled as an "its ok you did that cause coach made a mistake" type of fashion.

I was one of the ones who wondered aloud if Boughner handled things correctly, but I don't agree with the goalie leaving the ice and arena. Still don't know the entire story, but I would assume on what I've read so far that both sides could have handled it better. Seems strange that the goalie could leave the ice and get in his car with 5 minutes in the period, or at the very least, wasn't there a trainer or assistant coach there to talk to the kid and calm him down? The whole thing seems weird, would love to get the entire story, not sure if we ever will.
