I will say this regarding people that don't like the NFL but like the CFL. The NFL, in many ways, is a very difficult entity to like if you're not an enthusiastic football fan. Players are in the news for the wrong reasons all the time, every little thing is blown up into a circus. Every year, some high profile player holds out for more millions.
The CFL, conversely, is made up of a bunch of guys who spend the off season climbing the ranks of TD management and the like.
I love football. So I forgive the transgressions, but I can definitely see why people in another country with no rooting interest in the NFL are put off by it.
