And the US has more of a price (and has shown they'll pay it *cough* Salt Lake City). And they can guarantee ALL stadiums are 80,000+ capacity grass stadiums, something Canada cannot do. I think a joint bid is much more realistic with maybe Toronto and Vancouver hosting games. But Canada on its own would need to spend a ton, with the return on investment highly questionable (and very difficult to measure). I very much doubt some of the claims about what a World Cup could do to soccer in Canada.
