In terms of it being an interview, she was asked a question and shared how she felt. It is not like she is trained by a PR team on how to respond to questions like the players are.
Is what his mom is saying right? Maybe, maybe not. Is it a stance that I could see many parents having, especially with another son on the team? Yup.
I just don't think we need to start jumping to conclusions and reading between the lines that this is some conspiracy by Gaudreau's mom to cover up her sons feelings and take the bullet for him wanting to stay another year.

If Gaudreau waits until next year to sign a contract, his ELC will be max 2 years. If he signs before the 2014-2015 season, it will be 3 years.
He's giving up $925,000 to stay in college for one more year?
