I don't know if one or two dozen people having to turn their heads (admittedly pretty severely) makes it a bad hockey arena. A lot of really cool sports venues have some obstructed-view seats. I think this venue will have a very intimate feel compared to some of the giant cavernous buildings, even like the Saddledome can seem. It's not ideal but it's a pretty significant leap forward from Nassau. In the day of cookie-cutter state-of-the-art arenas, I welcome something like Barclays being added to the league.
