I lived in Vancouver when the Flames moved to Calgary from Atlanta. I hated the Canucks even then because of their classlessness as an organization (e.g. forcing Mike Robitaille to play with an injured back, essentially crippling the man for life) and the cluelessness of the fanbase.
Moved to Calgary in 1982; first Flames game was in the Corral against the Oilers (Greasers won but it was respectable as I recall). Steven Simmonds received a hearty round of boos for an inflammatory three-star selection.
