I dunno, I kinda went "huh" when they cast Eisenberg. But I agree with Chris Nolan's casting philosophy with these types films. You don't pick an actor you want, then write a story with a character that fits that actor. That is backwards. You write what you think is a great story, then decide what established characters fit that story and then cast for those characters.

Obviously Cranston would have done fine as Luthor. But maybe for the Luthor they have created in this universe he doesn't fit at all.
