Almost everyone's Mount Rushmore is flawed for every sport, because they fail to recognize the roles the President's played and then choose appropriate players from whatever sport, to slot into those roles.
Mount Rushmore consists of the following.
Washington - The Greatest of All Time: in hockey, that's obviously Gretzky.
Jefferson - The Heart and Soul: Gordie Howe
Lincoln - The one who saw you through your darkest hour: The NHL's darkest hour would be the dead-puck era and I think the guy who was pretty clearly the best player in the NHL through that period would have been the Dominator, Dominik Hasek.
Roosevelt - overrated based on recent accomplishments: Alexander Ovechkin.
There's your Mount Rushmore of hockey, from left to right: Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Alexander Ovechkin, Dominik Hasek.
Just as flawed a list as Mount Rushmore itself.
