22. I started watching the Flames in a preseason 8-1 thumping of the Leafs in ~2000 (one of the best ways to learn of hockey, no?). Next game was during Vernon's last season in a 7-2 win over Carolina. Somewhere in this time, Jeff Shantz visited my elementary school and filmed a commercial of some variety. Still have his card in my room.

Kind of lost interest until the Flames were deep in the '04 run. Watched the heartbreak (game 6, then 7) while pouring over math homework. The series against the Ducks (and the Darren McCarty goal) is when I really started looking over the roster and team.

I joined this forum as soon as the Flames were pretty much out against the Blackhawks.

Obviously I'm bad luck for the team when on the internet.
