I really hope Terminus pans out, as for how much they've been hyping it in the second half of the season it could very well be a last hope for the show itself (not just the survivors). This better not just be Woodbury 2.0 on a bigger scale, as that didn't work out too well the first time. If season four is going to take place entirely in Terminus then they need to find ways to make it compelling. This means not just one or two crazy guys like The Governor, but instead a whole town of cannibals or hunters bent on taking survivors out. Give us a full episode of Darryl's new group being hunted (or the huntees) against the people in Terminus, something like that.

I am not sure how far AMC will let them go, but last weeks episode was pretty dark, and they've had bleaker episodes in the past, so I expect they head back in that direction next week. I still wish they'd find a reason to head to a the city, as I think that would make for a more interesting environment, but a town full of twisted people would be a move in the right direction. In the first couple seasons the show had more of a "horror-like" atmosphere which I much preferred to what they are doing now, where now we only get that in small doses (the tunnel or the mist).

I honestly think the reason they avoid big cities is entirely because of cost, which is why they've always stuck to the countryside or small towns. I know they're only following what happens in the comics, but that's probably because the show is forcing the comics to go in that direction (not the other way around). But considering the shows popularity I would hope they would up the budget in maybe season 5. Just consider how cheaply made the second half of the season must have been. I know they have to pay salaries of an expanded cast, but aside from that they are really only paying for makeup effects, and designing small sets. So next season I hope they kill off a good chunk of the survivors, and then show us what's happening in a larger landscape.
