What a pathetic radio station. I actually liked this station when they first came on air but after their pathetic valentines stunt and now this horrible stunt I will never tune in again.

For five grand, 100 homeless people could receive shelter, food, medical aid and counselling for a night, potentially turning their lives around, but a Calgary radio station instead set fire to $5,000 in a stunt that has sparked outrage.
The cremated cash was the result of a contest by AMP Radio, which asked Calgarians whether it should burn or “bank” $5,000.
Voting on Twitter, Facebook, the station’s mobile app and by texts, listeners could have asked the station to give the cash away to anyone who participated in the contest through random draw, the so-called “bank” option.
Instead, 54 per cent of tens of thousands of listeners voted to send the cash to an incinerator. And the station obliged, posting on its Facebook page video footage of the bills turning to ash inside a crematorium.
