Crosby will be the favorite given his commanding lead in the scoring race, but I'd bet Giroux gets nominated. Still sucks he didn't make the Olympic team.
The only way someone doesn't vote Crosby first place is because they are sick of him being so good. Anyone who does should lose their voting privileges though. Assuming he finishes the season with around 110 points and the next best finishes under 90 points that's the biggest difference in over a decade. Got to go back to 1999 when Jagr finished with 20 points over Selanne before you see even close to this separation, unless I'm forgetting a year.

Then you got Ovechkin who will likely finish the season with 10 more goals than anyone else. Whether he deserves consideration or not it's obvious that the writers who don't watch the game love to put his name down. See last year when he was voted an All-Star for left and right wing.

Getzlaf should be a consideration as well especially if the Ducks can claim the conference title.

And there's Kessel playing in the center of the universe.

Whether he deserves it or not I don't think he'll be beating those fowards, and there's also your usually suspects like Toews who will gather some votes. When you look beyond just forwards you got Karlsson putting up a point-per-game as a defenseman with Keith playing Norris calibre. Bishop with 34 wins and a 2.17 GAA in Tampa. Price playing in Montreal (See Theodore), Rask and Quick putting up great numbers.
