Since we have a bit of time I was thinking about the skill set out there.
Mazrim implied at the start that he was going to hand out a lot of powers to keep it interesting.
Some of the common ones for townies that I have read about are the roles of Cop (investigate), Doctor (protect), Role Blocker (blocks some ones night action) and Vigilante (one kill per night).
Others
Tracker - Can pick one person a night and find out who they targeted for their night action (but not what said action was)
Watcher - Can find out who targeted a person overnight
Tree Stump - My favorite, the ability to turn yourself into a stump that can still talk but can't vote or be killed and has no night actions

There are also a bunch of mafia roles as well that I didn't list.

The vigilante is interesting as I didn't consider that the second kill may be a vigilante player who has had some unlucky picks.

One strategy is to have the Role Blocker block a different person every night to try to figure out who is making the second kill. Once they figure it out they volunteer the information and presumably their life to prove their findings.

Another is to have the cop come out and get the doctor to protect him every night without revealing who the doctor is. The cop then posts his findings every morning.

It might be worthwhile for people to recommend strategies blindly.
