But then again, I loved the ending to Newhart when he wakes up to his other TV wife Suzanne Pleshette and says you won't believe the dream I had about being an innkeeper. Awesome ending.

It worked for Newhart cause it's a comedy, cause Newhart is the king of deadpan and understatement, and because that was a long long time ago.

I think this is a set of trials and tribulations designed to see who is wothy of getting into Heaven. You actions/decisions will be judged and from that it will be decided if you are allowed in or not.
