This was the first episode in a long time that I've had the urge to rewatch.
Very sublte but at the beginning of the episode Lizzy is saying how she helped Tyrese saying she shot two people "I saved Tyrese. There were people shooting at him. I shot them. First a man, then a woman. I didn't mean to shoot her in the head."
Carol then explains why it was necessary, but in retrospect it's not that she didn't want to the woman, it's that she didn't want to shoot her in the head. A shot to the head means she wouldn't 'change'.
A little while late Mika says "I can kill walkers, I'm not my sister, I'm not messed up!" Once again Carol (like the rest of us) focused on killing humans and not how messed up Lizzy was.
When the walker comes out of the house, Lizzy only starts screaming after the walker was shot. Then starts crying because the walker is 'dead'.
Lots of foreshadowing, very well done.
One of their better episodes by far. Hopefully this is turning a corner from "hey we're people lost in the forest, there's other people we battle against and every once in a while there are zombies" to a darker apocalyptic story of survival.
