Exactly why I haven't bothered with a hardcore character. One would think the server issues alone would be cause to not bother, but there are so many ways for you to lose your character that are completely out of your control. Agree to an extent. Server issues are definitely a problem. But the difference in gameplay is huge. Slower and more methodical, with a different slant on survivability versus DPS is important.
Nothing like the gut rush of HOLY SHYTE as you are swarmed and you survive something.
Not sure I would play HC to the extreme higher levels, but it IS a rush playing it. And so what if you lose a mid level char... build another.
