Basically, fire started, plane turned to land in Langkowi, turned off the systems to try and stop the fire. In the process of restarting them/landing they lose consciousness and the autopilot stays on the same heading until the plane is fuel deprived. |
Langkawi would make sense as it is one of Malaysia's most popular resort island. So I can see the airport being a hub that every pilot in Malaysia would know about.
