We should find out in April how he stacks up against pros. He's been playing in the NCAA against men for his whole career there & torn it up. It's not like he was playing against teenagers in the CHL or something; Johnny had to suit up against fully grown men in college hockey – some giants in that league.
It's too easy (and cliché) to write him off for lack of size. It's too easy to overhype him because of exceptional skill. Gaudreau willing, he should be on the roster by the last couple of games this season, so all this speculation will be moot anyway. How about we save the Gaudreau chat for his thread in the Backburner & get this thread back OT?
