I know this was said party tongue in cheek, but I see these as two different things. You are entitled to your seat. By reclining back you are then taking away space from the person behind you. By not lifting your armrest for fattie you are just limitting him to stay within his seat.
I had a similar situation happen to me on the way back from DR 2 years ago. A girl all of 5' 2" and probably had to run around in the shower to get wet went and reclined her seat into mine. I managed to make eye contact with her friend, and the friend said "I think you just killed the guy behind you." It was pretty much a red eye flight, and we all agreed to not recline our seats. Also worked out well for chickie in front of me because she was nice; I was also nice enough to share my licorice with her on our food-less 7 hour flight.
Anyways, I'm off to go play some basketball.
