It's nice to see the older vets step up on this team to lead the young guys.
Gio: The leader we all wanted and got. Leads by example on and off the ice. One of the best defencemen in the league.
Hudler: Took Monahan under his wing and mentored him how to be a professional til Sean's mom moved to Calgary. Monahan was already pretty professional-acting from the get go but this just kinda drove it home. One of our point leaders. Small, but plays big.
Glencross: Quoting the article. Just trying to be a big brother veteran to the kids. Very sorry that he was out most of the year.
Stajan: A solid leader and plays with grit and heart. Like Glencross, very brotherlike and amiable towards the kids. Very tragic for him to experience this kind of devastation.
Cammalleri: Like Stempniak before he left. Lots of off-nights though but has played with new energy lately.
McGrats: Beats the right people up. Cracks the jokes. first in on the pranks. The tough guy dad of the group. Scores hilarious goals against hilarious opponents. A definite "I'm 6'2 200lbs" aura about the Flames bench when he's there.
