i'm not sure if it's the same in calgary, but here in kelowna they have a 'universal dress code' for pubs and clubs... no gang 'colours' - so you can't come into a pub (or club) with a biker vest on, or a cap or bandanna or anything like that. it even goes so far that tattoos must be covered if they have any sort of gang affiliation.
other than what i've mentioned, i do a agree that a dress code at a pub would be unexpected
